American River Alano is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of a President, Secretary, Treasurer and eight Directors.

There are also miscellaneous workgroups that carry out the duties and services for the 12 Step Groups that meet at the American River Alano. The directors are guided by the mission statement and the organizations By-Laws.
